My first quilt

I made this quilt for Dave. The hardest part was designing it as I went because it was rather stressful. Now that it's done, I am very happy with it. Dave likes it, which makes me ever more happy.

warm spring day

Yesterday it hit 70 degrees in Denver.  The boys and I drove up to a lake near David's store to feed the ducks.  We ended up walking all the way around the lake which was 1.4 miles.  Evan walked most of it.  We watched a fisherman reel in a big fish.  He showed it to the kids who were watching and said it was a carp.  Then he  released the fish and we continued our walk.

The first bluebird of 2010

I saw my first bluebird this year.  Spring is coming... one of these days.  I am looking forward to when we can play in the backyard everyday.

Dave brought this grapefruit home because it was the largest he had ever seen. Apparently all of the grapefruits were this large.

Sleep, baby, sleep,

All night long;

Fall asleep sound, as I sing you a song.

Sleep, baby, sleep,

My love is true;

Fall asleep sound, as I watch over you.

We rode the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. These are not the best pictures but they were at least not sideways!

A lookout near Wolf Creek Pass.
The boys were far too busy looking at the chipmunks to smile for a picture.

Dave built the boys a race track for their hotwheels that went down the stairs. It included 2 loops. The boys had a blast even though the track was too steep for the cars to stay on all of the way down. Future tweaking in planned.
